Microspot Fractional Resurfacing / Affirm™

What does facial resurfacing using Affirm™ involve?

Affirm™ is the first fractional resurfacing system that combines three technologies in one device: CAP® (Combined Apex Pulse), Multiplex® (dual laser emission) and XPL (Xenon Pulsed Light):

· CAP technology: precise heat manipulation of the skin tissue stimulates the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid.

· Multiplex® Technology: simultaneously discharges two wave lengths in one sole pulse: one at 1140 Nm which covers the aged skin surface and another at 1320 Nm to treat the deeper layers.

· XPL technology: Xenon Pulsed Light: eliminates pigmented blemishes and vascular redness, typical of photoaged skin.
What are its applications?

Instituto Medico Laser recommends Affirm™ for visible improvement with:

· Wrinkles, both superficial and deep; thanks to its collagen restructuring properties.
· Acne scars
· Scars and keloids

What are the advantages of Affirm™?

The benefits obtained from the Affirm™ Antiaging Platform are:

-Reduction of deep wrinkles using fractional resurfacing
-Reduction of small veins and pigmented blemishes
-Scar treatment
-Tissue coagulation
-Treatment of skin lesions caused by photoaging

Affirm™ acts on any skin type, no matter which skin phototype or its previous exposure to the sun.

What are the treatment features?

· Instituto Medico Laser recommends application of 4 to 6 sessions at fortnightly intervals.

· Each session lasts for approximately 30 minutes.

· Skin requires no previous treatment.

· The patient may once in a while experience skin redness 24 hours after treatment. This is similar to the redness revealed after strenuous physical exercise. This is due to the energy deposited inside the skin, which proves the high grade of skin stimulation achieved.
